What Beyonce Can Teach Us About Beauty

Have you ever noticed young women, predominately ages fifteen to twenty, who’s makeup appears uh…a little too intense for daytime? Or they clearly want to look sultry, fierce or sexy? Have you wondered why…“why young one?!” Regardless of what their intentions are…I want to tell them that we could help them with their makeup. Okay, I’m cool with young people expressing themselves; the side of my head is shaved for goodness sake. And no, I haven’t turned into my mother…. I think it’s your prerogative if you want to wear a ton of makeup …but HOW you do this, and WHEN you do this is what we’re craving to help you with.

Then I thought about Beyonce being one of today’s biggest icons for young women. She regularly taps into her alter ego “Sasha Fierce” and definitely rocks the heavy makeup look.

BUT…BUT… by day, Beyonce appears very natural. And to me this is very sexy, very raw and very inspiring. It’s not just that a lot of young women are wearing poorly placed makeup or that it’s sometimes was way too intense for daytime in my opinion…it’s that I feel they lack guidance in the area.

So I want to send a message to our young women of America, let’s take it from Bey. She knows when to bring “Sasha Fierce” and when to just be Bey. Both are beautiful, both are unique and both are authentic. And young women can have this too!

You can tap into who you inspire to be…the best version of you…your alter ego if you’d like. And we can teach you how to pull this off. It’s like a life coach for appearance, no? Why not? We are bombarded with fashion, hair and makeup trends everywhere…how are we supposed to know the when’s and how’s? That’s where we can help.

P.S. what we think is “beauty” may not be what you think is beauty…and that’s okay! Our brand is classic yet fashion forward. An urban edge with a splash of preppiness 😉 If that’s up you’re alley…then we’re located down the road. Hope to see you soon!
