It’s a known fact that people are more scared to see a new hair stylist than a new dentist. These two things you need to bring to your first hair appointment will help alleviate this fear of starting the conversation with your new hairstylist.
1. A PICTURE
Let’s imagine you arrive to your first hair color appointment at a new salon and you want red hair color. Your hairstylist will want to know what tone of red hair? What level of depth? Not all reds would be ideal for you, your lifestyle and/or your skin tone. It is our expertise that will guide you towards the best fit for you.
2. YOUR REGIMEN
Your hairstylist will want to know what you’re already doing with your daily hair care habits.
*How much time to you spend doing your hair? How much time are you willing to spend?
*Do you shampoo and condition daily? What products are you using?
*Are you using styling products? In what order do you apply what type of products?
*Do you wear your hair up or mostly down?
*Are you blow drying or air drying your hair? Do you use a flat iron or curling iron?
*What are you loving about your hairstyle? What would you change about your current look?
*How often do you expect to get your haircut and/or hair color?
*When you enter a room, do you like to turn heads? Or do you prefer to stay incognito?
This is a lot…and all pertinent for us to know in educating you towards better hair care management! At the end of the day, all great relationships, especially with your hairstylist, is all about great communication. We look forward to having a conversation with you!
