1. Do not cut your own fringe!
We offer complimentary fringe trims in between appointments for this very reason
2. Do not color your own hair!
Professionals understand what you do not. We take in account your hair texture, condition, grey percentage, underlying hair pigments, etc… It will cost you more time and money to have your mistakes corrected than if you build a solid relationship with your Salon and Hair Stylist.
3. Do not wax your own eyebrows!
Again, it’s a disaster waiting to happen. Find a licensed professional who understands proper shaping of your brows so you allow the eyes to look open without sacrificing width or length.
4. Do not purchase professional hair care outside of a professional Salon or Spa!
We could go on and on about why this is terrible. We’ll try to give you the short list:
- You don’t know who has sold these products to these retailers…the brand itself has not.
- You don’t know where they’ve come from…if even the US.
- You don’t know how long these have been around…a lot are old, discontinued products.
- This is illegal within our industry and if someone was caught for selling bulk inventory to these retailers, their licenses would be stripped.
5. Do not cut your own layers!
If you have long hair, you may think you can get away with this…but you can’t. Where the layers fall will directly effect the shape of your face. If you have a fuller face and/or a soft jaw line, this is especially important. Also, you want to make sure your layering work on top isn’t too short as to sparse out your ends.
