Have you ever visited a Stylist that you haven’t quite clicked with? Here’s the myth about rejection!
Have you ever been to a hair salon and really enjoyed the atmosphere but didn’t necessarily hit it off with the hair stylist? What did you do? Did you return to that salon and try a different hair stylist? Did you avoid making eye contact with the stylist you first met? Did you go out of your way to reserve a time that original hair stylist would NOT be there? Did you avoid returning to the salon all together?
I’m guilty of all of the above. And why? Because I don’t like rejection (who does?) and therefor I wish this feeling on no one. The myth about rejection is this: It is as big of a relief to the stylist as it is for you. Let me explain. Our goal at Be Inspired Salon is that you, our guest, walk away from your experience completely aroused with yourself. Too much? Well, we want you to really dig yourself. Our mission is that you believe in who you are and our hope is to empower you via our talents to be truly authentic inside and out. So when you leave looking fabulous, and even more importantly…when you leave feeling fabulous, this gives us such a high as to keep our efforts alive for years and years to come. When you do NOT leave with this feeling, we surely blame ourselves. We make an effort as a salon to openly share our guest experiences with one another as to learn, grow and develop our skill set. And though we never want to feel inadequate, we are honest with ourselves that not all birds fly together…except those of the same feather.
In other words, we want you to be our guest and we also want you to find stylists within our salon that match your needs. It’s interesting to really think about this. I have very close friends whom I love like family but I would NEVER want to do their hair. We would end up like most roommates that start off as friends when they move in with one another…and that’s one less friend by the end of the lease. I also think about my husband. He is the complete opposite as myself and boy do we make an amazing team! I couldn’t imagine marrying someone like myself. We’d compete daily! Who’s the funniest, the smartest, the fittest, the sexiest, and so on. As much as YOU are trying to find the perfect stylist(s), WE are trying to work with our best matches as well. It all comes down to personalities and communication. And we understand that, and will sometimes go out of our way to recommend you to a new stylists within our salon even if you aren’t alluding to the desire yourself. Sometimes it’s us who will recognize there is a better fit for you!
At Be Inspired Salon, we’ve made it a point NOT take relationship choices personally. It’s a very mature approach to our end goal which is to make sure you are in LOVE with your salon and your team of stylists. I say stylists because I believe you can enjoy, trust and be inspired by more than one stylist.  Each will bring a custom flavor to your services and you may like different things about them. But more than just one stylist is capable of providing you with an awesome experience every visit. And what a relief! Why? Because we’re hair stylists! Meaning…80% of us are under 35 years old and another 80% of us within that demographic are bound to have babies because 90% of us are women. Isn’t it comforting to know that in the midst of a leave or vacation you won’t have to stress about your hair services? We go out of our way to introduce you to more than a couple of hair stylists at our salon for this very reason.
End in point. With us, you don’t have to worry about hurting our feelings. We’ve been preparing for this since we’ve opened. We’re thankful you choose to be a part of the Be Inspired Salon family of guests regardless of which stylists you choose to work with. Cheers to a thriving relationship!
