There is no greater gift than the feeling of giving!
As many of you know, our team here at Be Inspired Salon highlights one non-profit organization every year in order to raise money for a special cause that we all stand by. This year, we narrowed it down to three incredible organizations, and with your help we ultimately decided to invest in future generations by partnering with Girls Inc.
Girls Inc is an incredible non-profit organization with hundreds of local chapters all across the U.S. and Canada, that focuses on the development of strong, smart and powerful young women. They empower girls from all over the world to value themselves, take risks, and discover and develop their inherent strengths. In this pro-girl environment, these young women work with and learn from their amazing mentors in research-based programs which help them navigate gender, economic, and social barriers in order to grow up healthy, educated, and independent.
One of our beloved team members here at Be Inspired Salon, Victoria Martinez, has been working with Girls Inc. for quite some time on the side. After giving various presentations and participating in speed mentoring activities, Victoria decided to host her own Girls Inc. event right here at Be Inspired! With the help of a few of our other wonderful stylists, Victoria invited the girls from the Madison chapter to come in and witness a DevaCurl Transformation. Our team wanted to give these girls the tools they need to care for their hair, build their confidence, and treat them to the full salon experience.
Victoria had so many positive and uplifting things to say about this incredible organization that it was a no-brainer to expand our partnership with them. By joining forces with Girls Inc., we hope to not only help fund their programming, but we also really want to show these young women just how many opportunities are out there. While there is value in taking the traditional route, and attending a four-year college, we know it’s not for everybody, and we’re a prime example of the other incredibly rewarding careers out there—I mean just look at our amazingly talented team of cosmetology school graduates!
We want to show these young women what the future holds and get them excited about life’s many adventures—and you can help! With every positive Google review, we’re going to donate $10 dollars to this amazing non-profit in order to help fund their empowering educational programming.
