We have a few trends that are emerging this year for our brides and their wedding parties. First, brides are moving toward the Fall months for their wedding date, versus June, which is typically thought of as the biggest wedding month. Wisconsin weather in the Fall brings us beautiful warm, rich tones. This has directly impacted our bride’s desire for a bold, deep lip color. In fact, brides are more eager and willing to wear lip stick that really stands out and creates a bold statement. When this is their choice, we recommend keeping their makeup more natural, so the eyes and lips are not in competition with one another.
Fairytale inspired hairstyles are on the rise this year. Brides are choosing to wear their hair down, they’re opting for voluminous braids, or half-up half-down styles with soft and subtle waves. They’re likely to add baby’s-breath, fresh flowers, or even a forest-queen inspired crown. Aka—a circular headband made of some form of greenery. When wearing their hair down, often times we’re adding hair extensions to add fullness and/or length, so their hair looks fabulous in photography.
Hey bridal party members! I bet you’re wondering what is going to be on trend for you? The big trend for bridesmaids this year, is banning together for one cohesive look. Meaning, everyone wears an updo style, or everyone adds a braid to their hair. Maybe you all agree on your favorite lip color. The goal is to have a consistent vibe among the entire group.
